Description
A navy blue flag features "UNITED STATES COAST GUARD" in bold yellow arched text at the top. Centered below is the official U.S. Coast Guard seal, a circular emblem with a gold rope border, showing two crossed cannons over an anchor, with a shield bearing red and white stripes and a blue field with white stars, encircled by "UNITED STATES COAST GUARD" and "SEMPER PARATUS" with "1790" at the bottom. The years "1969" and "1973" appear in yellow on either side of the seal. Below the seal, a personalized name is printed in bold yellow. On each side of the central design, a small American flag is positioned above a blue and red U.S. Coast Guard chief petty officer rank insignia. The flag is displayed on a pole with the Statue of Liberty visible in the background under a blue sky with scattered clouds.
