Above the emblem, "UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS" is arched in gold lettering. Below the emblem, "Est. 1775" appears in gold, with "Semper Fidelis" centered beneath it. On the brim, a red and gold Sergeant Major rank chevron is flanked by gold laurel wreaths and the years "1967" and "1984" in gold. Below the chevron, a personalized name is embroidered in gold. Small American flag patches are on both sides of the cap. The artwork uses gold, red, white, and silver embroidery on a black fabric background.
