Description
A bold bald eagle head in profile dominates the front of a black cap, facing left, with detailed white and gray feathers and a yellow beak. Centered above the brim is the United States Army seal, featuring an eagle with outstretched wings holding an olive branch and arrows, above a shield with red and white stripes and a blue field with white stars, flanked by green oak branches. Below the seal, "UNITED STATES" appears in white, "ARMY" in large gold letters, and "1965–1971" in white. The word "VETERAN" is embroidered in large white capital letters across the front brim, flanked by golden laurel wreaths. The cap also features a small American flag patch on the left side. Versions are available for Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, each with its own branch name and emblem.
